    In August of 2008, Roy Langolf and Heather Coats (now-retired owner of Coats Funeral Homes in Waterford and Clarkston) purchased Sherman Wilk Funeral Home. After extensive remodeling, Langolf and Coats changed the property’s name to Coats Village Funeral Home. Langolf moved to the Ortonville property and has been solely serving the Ortonville community since then. He eventually purchased the property outright from Ms. Coats and simply renamed it Village Funeral Home. A 1981 graduate of Wayne State University Mortuary Science program, Roy cares very much for the community he serves and feels honored to be their neighbor and friend.
